Revise Beginnings

Michele Whetzel, founder and lead editor of Revise Résumé, has been passionate about editing since her teenage years. It started back in middle school when a creative friend with a gift for storytelling relied on Michele to fix her spelling, grammar, and punctuation. That early talent for polishing language evolved into a lifelong strength – and eventually, a trusted professional service.
With decades of experience helping others improve their writing, Michele has become a go-to resource for job seekers, nonprofit leaders, and professionals who want their words to shine. She has served on about a dozen nonprofit boards and earned a reputation for her sharp eye and reliable edits, working on everything from brochures and program books to grant proposals, bylaws, and board materials.
Over time, more friends, colleagues, and connections began turning to her for résumé rewrites. After reviewing one résumé too many that clearly “needed help,” Michele founded Revise Résumé to offer thoughtful, no-nonsense editing services for people who want to present their experience clearly, confidently, and professionally. While résumé editing is the core of her business, she also works on a wide range of materials, including grant proposals, board documents, and executive bios.
