Revise President and founder Michele Whetzel has been editing since she was a young teen. She had a friend in middle school who had a great imagination and wrote great poetry and stories, but she had no concept of correct spelling or punctuation. To help her friend, Michele would edit her pieces. This skill has carried over into her adult life.
For over 15 years, Michele has served on nonprofit boards and achieved a reputation as the go-to editor for their materials. She has edited brochures, solicitation letters, event invitations, program books, grant applications, bylaws, and other governance documents. At the same time, she began helping family and friends update or create résumés.
Recently, after seeing yet another résumé that “needed help,” Michele decided to form the editing company Revise and offer that help. The company’s main focus is résumé polishing but will edit other materials as well. They will keep the structure of the résumé and enhance it by eliminating the “noise” or unneeded clutter. After an in-depth interview with the client, they will find the hidden gems of important experience and talents that will bring the client’s résumé to the top of the interview pile.
If you just need a second pair of eyes because you have stared at the same words for too long, or if you want to be sure your résumé, grant application, or other documents are the best they can be, let Revise help you outshine the competition!
